The company’s manufacturing story began in 1967 with the establishment of Universal Foods, an operation primarily focused on packing black tea under licence for the Tetley brand.

A defining period in the company’s development began in 1995, following its acquisition by Adeeb and John Mahfood. Under their leadership, the business expanded beyond traditional black tea and began developing products inspired by natural ingredients, Caribbean wellness traditions and changing consumer lifestyles.

Our Facilities
Tea Production
Tea remains at the heart of the company’s manufacturing heritage.

Our portfolio includes traditional black tea, green tea, flavoured blends, wellness teas and herbal infusions produced using ingredients familiar to Caribbean households.

Popular infusions include ginger, peppermint, lemongrass, bissy, soursop and other blends inspired by regional tea-drinking traditions.

The company also manufactures products across the Tetley and Caribbean Dreams portfolios, including contemporary additions such as Tetley Chai, Tetley Vanilla Chai and Caribbean Dreams Instant Honey Ginger.
Dry Pack Production
Beyond tea, Caribbean Dreams Foods Ltd. produces an expanding selection of pantry products created to bring flavour and convenience to everyday meals.

The portfolio includes instant soup mixes in familiar varieties such as chicken, cock, vegetable, pumpkin, ram goat and fish, alongside seasonings, spices and other dry-packed grocery products.

This growing category reflects the company’s continued expansion from a specialised tea producer into a broader Caribbean food manufacturer.
Private-Label Manufacturing
Caribbean Dreams Foods Ltd. provides contract manufacturing, co-packing and private-label services for local, regional and international businesses.
